Session Begins

We have officially begun the 2023 Legislative Session! I am thankful and excited to be back with my colleagues and will work hard once again for residents of the 114th Assembly District!

School Meals

Last week I met with many representatives from Hunger Solutions New York, Corinth Central School District, Salem Central School, and PRIDE of Ticonderoga to discuss food insecurity and healthier school lunch options. I am proud to stand by students of the 114th District as I fight for access to free and healthy school meals throughout their daily educational experience to help reduce the burden on struggling families.

Granville Cub Scouts

It was a pleasure to join the Granville Cub Scouts-Pack 6044 and Boy Scout Troop 44 this past week! I was invited by both groups to speak about my personal experience as a representative in government and how my path led me to this position. Keep up the hard work boys!

Lake Placid 2023 FISU World University Games

This past weekend was the grand opening ceremony for the Lake Placid 2023 FISU World University Games! It was spectacular to see the many different countries come together for a week full of exciting competitions and races. Redistricting Public Hearing

While there was much public discussion about redistricting for state and federal election districts last year, the state Assembly maps are still subject to a final court-mandated realignment set to take effect following the 2024 election cycle. Veterans’ Nonprofit Capital Program

I am pleased to announce the opening date for applications to the Veterans’ Nonprofit Capital Program (VNCP) to help veteran organizations make improvements to facilities that serve our country's bravest! The program will begin accepting applications on Jan. 12, 2023. VNCP awards will range from $25,000 to $75,000 and may only be used for:

Design, construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation, or expansion of an eligible facility;

Purchase of equipment for an eligible facility, provided the equipment has a useful life of 10 years or more; and

Certain construction soft costs, including architectural, engineering, & design.

There is no requirement that the project be shovel ready, with all plans and permits approved, by the application due date. For more details or to see if your organization qualifies, click the link.
