Congratulations to this week's athletes of the week, Keith Marcotte, Chesnie York and Elizabeth Jensen.
Keith Marcotte is a member of the JV baseball team and has been a constant workhorse at practices. He is always giving every ounce of effort he has. He works to improve himself each day, and is a constant support for his teammates. Keith is the first to volunteer for extra work, and the last to leave the gym. He is the epitome of what how we want our athletes to work, and should be looked up to for his fortitude.
Chesnie York is a senior on the Varsity softball team. This week she pitched a perfect game in the first game of the season. Last year, she led off the season with a no-hitter. In this game she struck out the first 12 and ended up striking out 16 out of 18 total batters. She also had a double and a sac fly to help pitch in for the offense. Chesnie is poised to have a remarkable senior year.
Elizabeth Jensen is a sophomore on the Varsity softball team. E.J. went 4-4 in the first game of the year hitting two doubles, a triple and having 3 rbi's. E.J. hits in the fourth spot as a sophomore, and is looking to improve from the exceptional year she had last year. E.J. is constantly pushing herself to become better at whatever position she is put in and offensively looks to direct this offense to a special year.
Way to go, Keith, Chesnie and Elizabeth!
