Cafeteria News & Parent Info from the Corinth Cafe

I would like to take this opportunity to share with you that we served 46,055 breakfast meals and 96,022 lunch meals this year to your student’s. We take pride in knowing that we offer them the nutrition that they need to fuel their minds and bodies for optimal learning. 

We are pleased to announce that starting with the 2019-2020 school year, there will be no charge for meals for students who submit an application and are qualified under the “Reduced” category. New York State will be providing the extra $ .25 per meal in our reimbursement rates. What this means is that if you apply for Free & Reduced meals for your student based on your income and family size and you are deemed eligible for “Reduced” priced meals, your actual cost with be $ 0.00. 

The 2019-2020 Free & Reduced meal applications will be available and accepted any time after July 1st. If you applied during the 2018-2019 school year, you must fill out an application for the new school year no later than October 15th. Applications need to be submitted (1 per household) each school year. If you have not returned a new application by that date, your student will revert back to “Paid” or Full-Price status, in addition if you accrue a negative balance and then qualify for Free/Reduced meals, you are still responsible to pay for those meals that were charged. This is why it is so important to get a new application to the Food Service Office as soon as possible. Applications can be found at each of the School Offices and on our School website at www.corinthcsd.org under the Food Services Page. 

NEW THIS YEAR!

As of July 1st we will be switching over to TITAN School Solution for our Cafeteria Point of Sale and Meal Payment programs. All remaining student balances will transfer to Titan for the new school year. There will be a link to the TITAN Family portal posted on the school website / Food Services page.

Setting up your account on the Parent portal is easy:

  1. Visit http://ww1.familytitank12.com/
  2. Click the “Sign Up Today” link
  3. Enter your name, email address and create a password
  4. Select the State and Corinth School District
  5. Click on the “ + “ button to add your student 

You can add funds to your student’s account using a credit or debit card with a $2.60 service fee or with an electronic check with a $1.60 service fee. Please contact the Food Service Office at (518) 654-9005 extension 3114 if you would like your students to be set up on a family account. This will allow them to draw from one pool of money for all transactions, so no sibling is ever out of funds if there is still money left in the family account. 

The Family Portal will also allow you to view the Breakfast and Lunch menus, view all cafeteria transactions and we are most excited about the ability to apply online for Free or Reduced Meals. You may also apply without setting up an account. Just follow the links on the main page of the Family Portal. If you would like assistance setting up your account, I would be happy to help. Free lunch meals are available at the Corinth Elementary School from July 1st- August 30th, Monday-Friday from 11:30-1:00, and no registration needed.
