Corinth area residents will soon have access to mental health counseling services thanks to a partnership between the district and the Saratoga Center for the Family. Appointments are being taken now by calling (518) 587-8008.
Saratoga Center for the Family Executive Director Rebecca Baldwin said that her agency had been looking to expand to a satellite office so that more people could access the center’s services.
A trained clinician will be available to help Corinth area residents with a variety of issues, including post-traumatic stress disorder, physical and sexual abuse, anxiety and depression, personality disorders, substance use disorders, grief and loss, sexuality and gender identity, attention disorders and family dysfunction. Visits will be by appointment. The center accepts most major insurance programs.
While Corinth students and their families will benefit from easy access to the services offered by the center, Baldwin emphasized that the services are available to the entire community.
“We are locating a therapist in the school district’s building, and that therapist will be serving the entire community, anyone who is interested in accessing the services we provide,” she explained.
Families can call the Saratoga Springs office at (518) 587-8008 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
