The 6-12 Counseling Department has been busy in January working with students to prepare them for some of the transitions that lie ahead.
Eighth- and 10th-graders have participated in assemblies featuring student and guest speakers to learn more about the opportunities available through the Career and Technical Education, Early College in High School and P-TECH programs.
Juniors recently were given the opportunity to learn about the New Visions Program, which offers opportunities in engineering and medical fields.
This week, counselors are meeting with eighth-graders to talk about the transition to high school. The school will host a Parent Night for eighth-graders and their families at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8 — more information will be posted closer to the event.
