CHS student Lindsey Torda brings joy to children who face serious health challenges in their lives
Lindsey was inspired by a close friend who has autism, wanting to brighten the day of children who face health challenges that include: Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Microcephaly, Autism, Alopecia, Cancer, Emanuel Syndrome, Neurofibromatosis, Diabetes, NKH (Nonketotic hyperglycinemia) and other illnesses. Lindsey believes that they deserve every opportunity to live a full life with the same opportunities as other children.
A dozen or more packages have been sent out already. Everything that is in the care packages is either donated or purchased by Lindsey! Care packages include clothes, toys, sensory items, books and a little note.
Lindsey has an Instagram account, SpreadingAwareness1! Check it out and learn more about how one of our students is making a difference in the world, spreading kindness to children on her own time.
Way to go, Lindsey!!!
