Michael All – Recipient of Post-Star Teen Excellence Award

Michael AllCongratulations to Corinth Senior Michael All who was recently named a Post-Star Teen Excellence Award recipient. His Spanish Teacher Mrs. Lisa Wells nominated him for the award.

“Michael is an earnest and dedicated learner,” said Mrs. Wells, who describes Michael as the true definition of the word ‘student.’ “He takes his studies seriously, but he is social and athletic. He has intellectual curiosity and strives for perfection. He is a leader among his peers and accepts responsibility eagerly; he is extremely trustworthy.”

Michael loads his schedule with the hardest classes he can take, including honors classes and college level classes through Syracuse University and SUNY Plattsburgh. He plays soccer and hockey and also runs track and cross-country.

“As I’ve grown, I’ve realized how much I want to succeed,” said Michael. “I always think I can do better, not just with school but with sports too.”

Michael would like to pursue a career as a veterinarian. Ideally, he would like to travel and help at animal sanctuaries. He has been accepted to Clarkson University, where his older brother currently attends.

Michael participates in community service projects through the National Honor Society, and he also spearheaded his own initiative. Two years ago, he conducted a shoe drive for children in Mexico.

“My parents went to Mexico and brought the shoes with them, along with school supplies and toys,” he said.

In his spare time, Michael loves hiking, camping, and kayaking. He and his father and brother have climbed six of the 46 Adirondack High Peaks.

Michael will be honored for his award at a breakfast at the Great Escape Lodge and Indoor Waterpark on March 8, 2017.
