Corinth CSD is proud to host the next community event celebrating the town’s Bicentennial on Friday, April 20.
The Oak Street school will host this special event, which will include dinner, a historical re-enactment, a musical performance and the opening of a time capsule that has been buried for the last 50 years.
At 5 p.m., a spaghetti dinner will be served in the school cafeteria. Tickets are $10 (sold at the door) for the meal of pasta, salad, bread, dessert and refreshments, with proceeds to support future Bicentennial Celebration events.
At 6:30 p.m., Corinth High School students in Mrs. Fay’s Business Law classes will collaborate with Town Supervisor Richard Lucia to present a historical re-enactment of town meetings. The 1968 time capsule will be opened, and a new time capsule will be created. The event will also include a performance by the CHS Select Chorus, under the direction of Mrs. Barbro Aldridge.
Corinth is also proud to recognize CHS student Hannah Mills, who has served as a student leader representative on the Bicentennial Committee. Please join us as we honor and celebrate the 200th birthday of Corinth!
