Dear Corinth Student-Athletes and Families,
On January 29, Saratoga County announced that high-risk sports could move forward if Boards of Education approve each high-risk sport; if certain metrics are achieved within the county; and if certain health and safety requirements are met. One such requirement is that our county must maintain a positivity rate below 4% using a 7-day rolling average before practices or competitions are permitted. Our county is currently reporting a 4.7% average and we are hopeful that our region will continue to decline.
In preparation for a possible winter athletic season, the Corinth Central School District will begin a strength and conditioning program this week. We will be inviting all student-athletes in grades 9-12 that meet our participation guidelines. The activities will be supervised by our strength and conditioning coach, Mr. Bowe. We are excited to be able to offer this to our student-athletes to help prepare them for upcoming athletic seasons.
We will be providing more information regarding this opportunity on Monday, February 1, 2021.
Respectfully,
Dr. Mark R. Stratton
