  • The meeting began at 3:00 with 6 members in attendance
  • The process of assessing our Wellness Policy & Practices has begun. While not being able to physically meet for the assessment, other members of the school district such as principals and guidance counselors were asked to help in some areas.
    • The assessment identified areas where improvement was needed and a basic outline was shared with the committee. An expanded outline will be shared at our next meeting as we continue the assessment process in order to set goals for next school year.
  • We began work on a Wellness Newsletter that will be shared within the district with staff and families, and posted on the district website and Facebook page for the community. The committee decided that a quarterly newsletter would be our best plan.
    • The Spring Wellness Newsletter deadline for collaboration is April 15.
    • We had some great ideas to share with the community in the news letter such as:
      • Local spots for hiking and kayaking, taking advantage of our beautiful Adirondack scenery.
      • Sunny offered to lead cycling trips for the community.
