The safety and well-being of students and staff remain top priorities at Corinth Central School District. As part of the district’s ongoing commitment to emergency preparedness, all schools will conduct building-wide evacuation and relocation drills this month.
The scheduled drill dates are as follows:
High School and Middle School: Wednesday, October 15, 2025
Elementary School: Friday, October 17, 2025
These drills are designed to ensure that students and staff are familiar with the procedures that would be followed in the event of an emergency requiring evacuation to an alternate site. Practicing these drills helps build confidence, reduce anxiety, and ensure that everyone knows how to respond calmly and efficiently.
Students will return to school following the drills and resume their regular schedules. Teachers will prepare students in advance, emphasizing that these are practice drills only.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department and Corinth Fire Department will assist district safety teams to ensure the drills are conducted safely and effectively. Students with special needs who require transportation will use district transportation during the evacuation.
The district understands that drills can sometimes cause concern, particularly among younger students. Staff will take care to explain the purpose of the drills in an age-appropriate and supportive manner.
Families with questions or concerns are encouraged to contact their child’s building principal.
