LAS students

Our Latin American Studies (LAS) students are already preparing for their end of the year model assembly at SUNY Plattsburgh.  The course is taught in association with SUNY to offer college credit for our students.  They recently participated in the first “formal Friday” of the year where Mr. Badaszewski made sure everyone could experience tying a tie.  Students were excited to show off their skills and even competed with one another on who could get it done the quickest.

The LAS students work all year developing skills in research, debate, and analysis of critical global issues.  They learn to work collaboratively on complex issues and develop a deep understanding of the complexity associated with  global politics.  The end of the year trip to participate in the model organization of American states in Plattsburgh, and debate with students from all over the north country is always a highlight for our students.
