After months of planning the Capital Project, construction is beginning! It is remarkable that with the soaring prices we are still able to complete all the major components of this project. The focus has always been on our students as we upgrade educational spaces and improve the appearance of our schools. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2023. Here's what to expect:
A new Auditorium with 432 fixed seats, stage, new rigging and state-of-the-art theater audio and lighting
New music classrooms
Improvements to the band room that includes a practice room with storage
Major renovations to science classrooms
Upgraded restrooms near the auditorium and science classrooms
A refurbished Family & Consumer Science room
New special education rooms
A modernized facade with ADA compliant entrance at the Oak Street campus
Replacement of the gymnasium roof in the High School
An accessible restroom from the athletic fields at the Elementary School
We want to remind you that the contractors will be working around the clock and ask for your patience and understanding during this time. Starting the week of September 19th, the high school parking lot and gymnasium entrance will be closed for the remainder of the school year. This will result in an increased number of vehicles parking on the streets around the Oak Street campus and necessitate that people enter the gymnasium through the main entrance to the Middle School. We are excited to watch this project unfold and appreciate your continued support.
