In celebration of Earth Day, April 22, Middle School science classes will take time to discuss the importance of environmental stewardship. Alongside these classroom lessons, students will participate in a variety of hands-on activities aimed at supporting both their community and the environment.

On Earth Day, sixth-grade students will head outdoors for a “Spring Clean-Up Day,” helping rake and tidy areas around the school campus. Seventh-grade students will spend the day planting vegetable seedlings for the community school garden. Once matured, these crops will be harvested and incorporated into the school’s lunch program.

Additionally, on Wednesday, April 23, seventh-grade students will travel to the Corinth Reservoir for the annual Trout Stocking Event, where they will help release approximately 500 trout into the local waterway. These efforts highlight the school’s ongoing commitment to fostering environmental awareness and community involvement.
