Bringing Science to Life in the UPK Classroom

This spring, Corinth Elementary School’s Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) students dove into an exciting science adventure as they explored the life cycle of a chick.

Through hands-on activities and creative projects, students discovered how a chick grows and develops—from egg to hatchling. The most exciting part of the unit came as students observed the life cycle unfold in real time, right in their classroom!

For 21 days, students eagerly checked in on a clutch of eggs, learning patience and care as they awaited the big moment. Their anticipation paid off when the fluffy chicks finally hatched, quickly becoming cherished members of the class.

This memorable experience brought science to life for our youngest learners and helped spark curiosity, build responsibility, and inspire a lifelong love of learning.
