Corinth Elementary School Summer Reading Book

This summer, every student at Corinth Elementary School will receive their very own copy to keep of Summer According to Humphrey by Betty G. Birney. As part of our annual summer reading tradition, this engaging chapter book will help keep students excited about reading throughout the break.

In Summer According to Humphrey, classroom hamster Humphrey heads to summer camp, where he faces new adventures, makes new friends, and learns that trying new things can lead to unexpected fun.

To celebrate our readers and reconnect mid-summer, Corinth Elementary School will host a Mid-Summer Reading Celebration on Tuesday, August 13th at CES. Families can look forward to fun activities and shared enthusiasm for the book and reading in general.

In addition to the book, students will also receive an optional summer learning packet filled with fun and educational activities to help keep their minds active. Whether used independently or with family, the packet is a great way to support learning over the summer.

We’re proud to continue this tradition that encourages reading, creativity, and curiosity all summer long. Happy reading, Corinth Elementary!
