Kerry Giumarra

Assemblyman Matt Simpson recognized the extraordinary contributions of 14 women from across the 114th Assembly District during his third annual Women of Distinction ceremony, held Thursday morning, June 26th, at the Holiday Inn Resort in Lake George.

The event honored women who were nominated by community members for their outstanding impact. Each honoree received an official Assembly Proclamation in recognition of their service and dedication.

Among this year’s recipients was Corinth Central School District social worker Kerry Giumarra. Kerry was recognized for her exceptional commitment to supporting students in grades 5 through 12. As highlighted in the program, she serves more than 750 students and often works beyond school hours to assist those in crisis. In her role as the district’s McKinney-Vento liaison, she ensures that homeless students have access to essential services, including transportation.

Kerry also leads the district’s C.A.R.E. committee, coordinating volunteers to provide food, supplies, and other resources to families in need. Her compassionate leadership, crisis de-escalation skills, and advocacy for students have made a lasting impact on both student success and the wider Corinth community.

The Corinth Central School District congratulates Kerry Giumarra on this well-deserved recognition and thanks her for her unwavering dedication to our students and families.
