In accordance with new state law and guidance from Governor Hochul, the District has adopted a new policy prohibiting student use of Internet-enabled devices during the school day on school grounds, with limited exceptions. The policy was developed in consultation with students, families, and staff, and aims to keep students focused during instructional and non-instructional periods.
Devices must be stored in designated on-site locations, and alternative communication options will be available for families. The District will monitor enforcement and report on outcomes annually beginning in September 2026.
