The Corinth Central School Riverhawk wrestlers are turning heads, building on last season’s success and establishing themselves as one of the top wrestling programs in New York State. Led by head coach Chad Bardin, the team’s dedication and consistency were reflected in a strong 16-4 record and impressive tournament performances in 2025.
Last season (2025), the Riverhawks placed 3rd at Matmania XXII, 3rd at the SLED Winter Classic, 13th at the Saratoga Invitational, and 3rd at the Ichabod Crane Duals, while also claiming the Marty Sherman Duals Championship. Those performances laid the foundation for this year’s team, which benefits from returning talent and growing depth.
“Aiden Schurr and Keegan Baker are seniors that have been in the program their whole career,” said Coach Bardin. “They are leaders of what we created as a culture here at Corinth. They are great leaders.”
With eight returning athletes and several top performers among their ranks, the Riverhawks are building on last season’s success. In addition to Schurr and Baker, wrestler Lenny Rosa is ranked among the state’s top competitors, signaling a bright future for the program.
With their eyes set on representing the Capital District at the MVP Arena in Albany, the countdown is on for this focused and determined squad.
