October was National Bullying Prevention Month, and Corinth Central School District continued its partnership with Sweethearts & Heroes, a nationally recognized organization focused on spreading messages of empathy, HOPE (Hold On, Possibilities Exist), and leadership among students.
Sweethearts & Heroes team member Pat Fish visited Corinth in October to work with students through the BRAVE Youth Leadership System, a program that empowers older students to teach empathy-based lessons and “bully drills” to younger grades. The goal is to create a lasting, student-led culture of compassion and connection throughout the district.
Fish will continue working with Corinth students through the year, returning several more times to further develop the BRAVE program and support student leaders in grades K–12.
The Post-Star recently featured the district’s ongoing efforts in an article highlighting how Corinth students are leading the way in promoting kindness, empathy, and inclusion through this partnership.
Sweethearts & Heroes has worked with more than 2.5 million students nationwide, sharing a message of HOPE, empathy, and action to prevent bullying and hopelessness in schools.
