The Corinth Riverhawks wrestling team is headed for the big stage and making school history along the way.

This weekend, the Riverhawks will travel as a full team to Syracuse to compete in the New York State Dual Meet Wrestling Championships at SRC Arena on the campus of Onondaga Community College. Their appearance marks the first time in program history that Corinth has qualified for the State Championship in the Dual Meet Tournament, a milestone achievement for the program.

Corinth earned its spot at states after capturing the Section 2 Duals Championship, showcasing depth, determination, and teamwork throughout the postseason. Now, the Riverhawks are ready to take the next step as they depart Friday, January 30, to represent Section 2 on the state level.

The Riverhawks will compete in the Division II (small-school) bracket at the NYSPHSAA Wrestling Dual Meet Championships, with action beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 31. Tickets are $13.60 per person (including fees) and provide access for the entire day. Fans unable to attend in person can watch the event live on the NFHS Network via Trackwrestling, the official broadcasting partner of the NYSPHSAA State Championships.

The winners of each of the four three-team pools will advance to the semifinals at 2:30 p.m., followed by the state finals at 5:00 p.m.

This historic run is a testament to the hard work of the student-athletes, coaches, and the entire Corinth wrestling community. Best of luck to the Riverhawks as they take the mat and continue to make Corinth proud.
