CES is excited to celebrate Literacy Month with a fun-filled Dr. Seuss theme week, bringing stories to life and encouragin a love of ready throughout our school community.
Beginning Monday, March 2, students and staff are invited to join in the daily themed activities inspired by some of Dr. Seuss’ most beloved books by Dr. Seuss.
The week will include:
Monday, March 2 – “Green Eggs & Ham”
Wear green to school and start the week off in Seussian style.
Tuesday, March 3 – “If I Ran the Zoo”
Show your wild side by wearing animal print.
Wednesday, March 4 – “Wacky Wednesday”
Break out the crazy hair, funny hats, and mismatched clothes for a wacky day of fun. Students are also invited to bring a $1 donation to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities, supporting families in need.
Thursday, March 5 – “Fox in Socks”
It’s Silly Sock Day. Wear your brightest, boldest, or most mismatched socks.
Friday, March 6 – “The Cat in the Hat”
Dress as your favorite Dr. Seuss character and wrap up the week with a celebration of imagination and creativity.
Throughout the week, classrooms will highlight the importance of literacy and the joy that reading brings to our daily lives. CES looks forward to seeing everyone participate as we kick off Literacy Month in true Seuss style.
