Students at CES and CMS recently took part in an engaging, hands-on learning experience as the Mobile STEAM Classroom visited CCSD, bringing interactive learning directly to students.
The Mobile STEAM Classroom is a fully transformed retired school bus created by WSWHE BOCES. The mobile unit delivers immersive STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) experiences designed to spark curiosity and connect classroom learning to real-world applications.
While aboard the bus, students participated in hands-on activities that encouraged creativity, problem-solving, and exploration across STEAM disciplines. The experience gave students the opportunity to learn in a unique environment designed to make concepts more interactive and engaging.
The Mobile STEAM Classroom itself was built and designed through the efforts of students enrolled in WSWHE BOCES career and technical education programs. From construction and technical work to design and branding, students played a direct role in transforming the retired bus into a fully functional traveling classroom.
CCSD thanks WSWHE BOCES for bringing this innovative learning opportunity to CES and CMS. The district looks forward to welcoming the Mobile STEAM Classroom back in the future for continued hands-on learning experiences.
