Corinth Central School District welcomed its newest teachers and their mentors this week for two days of learning, connection and team building as they prepare for the 2026-27 school year.
As part of the annual new teacher orientation, new staff members participated in the Hawk Hunt, a scavenger hunt activity that took them throughout the Corinth community. Working alongside their mentors, teachers followed clues and visited locations throughout the community, learning more about local organizations, agencies and the partnerships that support Corinth CSD students and families.
The two-day orientation also included professional learning focused on key areas of teaching and student support, including building strong relationships with students, de-escalation strategies and suicide safety training. New teachers were also introduced to a toolbox of strategies and resources they can use as they begin working with students.
In addition, teachers became familiar with district curriculum, systems and procedures to help them get off to a strong start in their new roles.
We are excited to welcome our new teachers to Corinth CSD and look forward to the experience, energy and expertise they will bring to our classrooms and school community. Welcome to the Riverhawk family!
