Corinth Middle School has been busy with Earth Day activities over the last week and a half, supporting our social emotional learning curriculum theme: Appreciation of Beauty and Excellence from The Positivity Project!
Grade 5 participated in a scavenger hunt to learn about the history of Earth Day and created infographics to share what they learned with their peers. They also created a Recycle Bin to promote creative ways to save the planet!
Grade 6 students were our Earth Day Rock Stars! They worked VERY hard beautifying our Oak Street campus. They were busy raking, mulching, cleaning flower beds and memory gardens. We are so proud of their efforts to make CMS look beautiful and show that Riverhawk Pride!!! THANK YOU!
Grade 7 students participated in a community service project with Saratoga County, restocking 400+ brook trout in the Corinth Reservoir! (Read more about this experience on our Facebook page from a Saratoga County post!)
Grade 8 students explored the history of Earth Day, learned about influential environmental activists, and considered ways to address real-world environmental challenges. Students also created nature-inspired writing pieces. On May 14th and 15th, grade 8 will be participating in the Lake George Floating Classroom, learning about the how the environmental factors impact our lakes and streams and how we can protect the water sources, wildlife and other aspects of our ecosystems!
Way to go, Riverhawks!!! Earth Day 2026 was a huge success! (More photos on Facebook!)
