Corinth Elementary School proudly celebrated Flag Day on Friday, June 13, with a special morning honoring our local Hometown Heroes. Students nominated meaningful individuals in their lives who serve our community or country, and we began the day with a breakfast in their honor.
The celebration continued with our Flag Day Ceremony, featuring a presentation of the colors by American Legion Post 533. First graders shared fun facts about our flag while second graders spoke from the heart about what Flag Day means to them. Student Council also made a thoughtful donation in support of veterans.
The event concluded with patriotic musical performances by students in UPK through 4th grade, with our 4th graders proudly leading the National Anthem. We are so proud of our CES students for showing such heart, respect, and school spirit! ❤️💙🤍 #FlagDay #HometownHeroes #RiverhawkProud #PatriotismInAction

A big shoutout to the Corinth Middle School Student Council for leading the "Boxed Food Domino Challenge!"
Students organized a school-wide food drive, collecting over 150 boxed items for donation to the Corinth Food Pantry and the C.A.R.E. Food Pantry at the Oak Street campus.
The drive ended with a fun twist: a domino challenge! This nationwide initiative helps raise awareness about the importance of keeping our local food pantries stocked and ready to serve.
Thank you to all contributed to the successful food drive!

Our CES Student Council has been very busy!
On Thursday morning, they took a walk to the Village Hall for a special opportunity to interview Mayor Terry Miller. Students learned about the structure of our local government, what it takes to run for mayor, and the goals for our village’s future all while getting to know Mayor Miller on a more personal level.
The students had a wonderful time and were even treated to some delicious snacks and patriotic goodies. Thank you, Mayor Miller, for the warm welcome and inspiring visit!
On Thursday afternoon, our students visited the Corinth Community Cupboard to learn more about the important role it plays in supporting local families. They discovered how the Food Pantry got its start, who qualifies for assistance, and the wide variety of items provided to those in need.
Students even had the chance to "shop" as if they were a family of three or four, giving them a hands-on understanding of the experience. They helped to restock shelves, asked thoughtful questions, and learned that volunteering is possible starting at age 12 with guardian permission.
The Student Council left inspired and excited about new ways to give back. Thank you to the dedicated volunteers who make this valuable community resource possible.
We are so proud of our CES Student Council! They embody all of our Social Emotional Learning character strengths, including citizenship, other people mindset, empathy and more! Keep up the great work! Thank you to Mrs. Fuller for facilitating so many meaningful experiences with our students! #CESlovesourCommunity

Mr. Petteys was thrilled to welcome Suzuka Shiota back to Corinth High School! Suzu, a former exchange student from Tokyo, Japan, who studied at CHS during the 2013-2014 school year. She enjoyed the full experience of a typical American junior year. Now, years later, she generously returned to speak with our French 2 and 3 classes, sharing memories of her time in the U.S. and offering insights into her cultural experiences.
Our students had the unique opportunity to ask questions, engage in thoughtful cultural comparisons, and learn firsthand from someone who has successfully navigated language learning and international exchange.
Suzu is an inspiring role model, and we are so grateful that she took the time to visit and reconnect with the CHS community!

Corinth Elementary School Field Day 2025 was a wild success!
CES was transformed into a safari wonderland as our Riverhawks took part in a full day of teamwork, fun, and school spirit!
One of the day’s biggest highlights was our 4th graders having the opportunity to silly string Mrs. Connor, an exciting reward for logging the most reading minutes during the March Ronald McDonald House Reading Challenge! Mrs. Connor was an incredible sport and it was the perfect way for our 4th graders to celebrate their final CES Field Day.
A huge thank you to our amazing cafeteria staff for preparing a special safari-themed lunch and to all of the staff members, families and PTSA for helping to make this day so memorable. We are already looking forward to next year’s adventure!
