Our CHS world travelers returned home this weekend! Mrs. Mullin, our World Language Dept. Chairperson and trip coordinator, shared a few photos and some highlights from this exciting travel experience.
Over spring break, 23 adventurous students from the High School World Language Department explored the beauty and culture of Costa Rica!
From the Atlantic to the Pacific, they hiked and kayaked around the Arenal Volcano, whitewater rafted the Savegre River, explored the depths of the Venado Caves, zip-lined through the Monteverde cloud forest, swam beneath the La Fortuna waterfall, and relaxed in the Tobacón hot springs.
They also learned how chocolate and coffee are made, and encountered incredible wildlife—macaws, sloths, monkeys, crocodiles, caimans, and even a few spiders!
It was an unforgettable 10-day journey, and the students truly experienced the meaning of Costa Rica’s famous phrase: “Pura Vida!”
Welcome home! We cannot wait to hear more about this wonderful travel experience!
