Our Modified Riverhawk Softball team recently wrapped up their season. Coach Roberts shared highlights from their last home game of the season:
"The Modified Riverhawks ended the season with a big win against Lake George. The score was 24-15. Our catchers Annabell and Kirana were quick on their feet and continued to communicate with both of our pitchers. Olivia Dymond started the game with 3 strikeouts and Abby Richardson ended the game with 3 strikeouts.
The girls started the game with energetic base running. Our outfielders (Maddox, Emily, Kendall, Sophia and Liz) moved quickly with moving the ball infield. Liz Miele caught a pop fly in center field and hit two doubles. Kendall Baker had 2 RBI's. Sawyer Anderson had incredible stretches with getting the outs at first. Kenzie Morehouse kept moving and was ready at any moment at third base. Natalie kept us on our toes with base running.
A HUGE thank you to our families who have been so flexible with the many changes in our season due to weather. A special thank you to Coach Murphy who volunteered her time to be with us daily. These girls are remarkable and we can't wait to see them play next year." Congratulations, Riverhawks! We are proud of your hard work this season! #RiverhawkProud #RiverhawksRising

Our Mountaineer Varsity Track Team has much to celebrate after the Section II meet on Thursday! Coach Flint shared highlights of our athletes' success:
"Congratulations to our Girls and Boys Track team at the Sectional meet. Scoring against the area's top athletes was impressive.

For the girls, Abby Proctor was 5th in the Long Jump. Stella Vanderheyden was a mere 2 inches from State Qualifiers but finished 6th in the Triple Jump.

The Boys team finished tied for 6th place. Tyler Smolinski took first in the 110 Hurdles and 9th grader, Will Murray won the Pentathlon against many juniors and seniors from bigger school districts. Hunter Shanahan fought through some illness to take 3rd in the 800 and 1600. Dan Hunt was 3rd place in the Pentathlon and has qualified for State Qualifiers in that event. Mike Petteys was 4th in the 400 Hurdles.
Aiden Pettit finished 6th in the 1600. Aiden Pavlick won 6th place in the Pole Vault.
Our Boys 4x400 relay team consisting of Jase Brunell, Tyler Smolinski, Mike Pettyes and Hunter Shanahan were 5th overall.
We now prepare for those who have qualified in State Qualifiers this upcoming week at Shen. Congratulations to everyone and keep up the good work."

Wow! What a day for our CHS athletes! We wish much success to our track athletes continuing on to the State Qualifiers!

On Tuesday night, CHS proudly celebrated the outstanding achievements of our senior student-athletes!

Co-hosted by the CHS Varsity Club and the Corinth All-Sports Booster Club, the event recognized the dedication, talent, and perseverance of our graduating athletes. Coaches shared heartfelt reflections, highlighting both the athletic accomplishments and the character traits that set these students apart.

A special highlight of the evening was guest speaker and CHS alumna, Brianne Shanahan, a proud CCSD parent and former three-sport athlete. During her time at CHS, Bri led her teams to numerous sectional and league championships, earned five school records, and continued her athletic journey at the collegiate level. She was not only a leader on the court and field, but also in the classroom. Bri delivered an inspiring message and congratulated our seniors on their success.

Huge thanks to everyone who made this celebration possible, including The View for hosting us and our incredible Athletic Director, Ms. Hilary Haskell, for your unwavering passion and leadership of the CCSD Athletics Program!

Our CHS Sports Marketing students had a fantastic evening at Joe Bruno Stadium, where they enjoyed a ValleyCats game and got an inside look at the careers that make game day happen—sponsorship, sales, media and broadcasting, coaching, and training. Students even took part in live sponsorship events on the field between innings!

A big thank-you to our community partners, the Tri-City ValleyCats, for hosting such an engaging and educational experience for our students! A tip of the hat to Mrs. Fay for planning a great trip that allowed our students to see the real world application of their classroom curriculum! Our own Marcia Keefe was also at the stadium as part of her long time commitment to the Tri-City ValleyCats organization too!
