CCSD had students participate in the first ever Girls in Construction Summer Camp recently!
"The Northeast Construction Trades Workforce Coalition held the inaugural Construction Summer Camp for middle school girls July 22-26 at the Whitbeck Construction Education Center in Gansevoort, NY.
All week long, campers had the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities and learn how math, technology, science, and design apply to construction. Some of the many activities and builds the girls engaged were: toolbox build, sawhorses, Pallette tour of their asphalt plant and stone quarry, Witt Construction tour of two homes under construction, building a geometric puzzle, charcuterie board, and Viking chairs. Each day the skills were more advanced and built upon what they learned from the previous days’ lessons. Their final project was a vertical garden build. The week culminated with the Construction Olympics."
What an exciting opportunity for students to explore Career and Technical Education opportunities!

The new buses arrived recently, #136 and # 137 feature a newly redesigned and updated version of the CE Series, which was last updated 20 years ago. There are increased driver comfort features, including driver air-conditioning and improved ergonomics. The redesigned sloped hood enhances driver visibility, along with the single glass door panels.

On Wednesday, August 7th, the Corinth High School Music Department will host The 42nd Infantry Division Band at 7:00pm in the auditorium. The band serves as the musical ambassador for the 42nd infantry division and the New York Army National Guard. Composed of skilled musicians from all walks of life and professional occupations, the 42nd inventory division band performs a variety of musical genres ranging from symphonic/orchestral, jazz, rock, and contemporary pop. Our vocal music teacher Andrew Holcomb is a proud member of the band and has facilitated their performance for us. We hope you can join us for this special event in our brand new auditorium!
