Additionally, students at the Oak St. cafeteria were able to sample JTM Beef meatballs with Korean BBQ sauce courtesy of AJ Letezio food broker.
It was another great multicultural culinary experience for our school community! Thank you to Mrs. Tevendale and her staff for making World Traveler Wednesday a success!

Army National Guard representatives, Mr. Tony DeSena, Sergeant Ryan Schyberg and Specialist Matt Clark visited Mrs. Fay's business classes on two occasions this semester. They executed lessons on interviewing skills, leadership, communication and even discussed resilience as an important life skill. Students engaged in some hands-on activities that simulated practicing the skills needed.
The guest speaker lessons supported our Positivity Project SEL curriculum as well as the NYS CDOS (Career Development and Occupational Studies) standards!

A big shout out to the Varsity Girls Basketball team for another win on Friday night! Coach Hoertkorn shared highlights of the exciting game:
"The Varsity girls basketball team picked up a league win over Hartford Friday night. It was another great team effort with every player contributing.
Emily Dingmon led all scorers with 23 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals. She is such a great leader for us, and continues to show that in all areas of the game. She is always communicating with her teammates on the floor and does the little things that don’t always show up on the stat sheet.
Whitney Cameron followed with 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals for a great game as well.
Sage Shanahan had 2 points, and 5 rebounds on the offensive end. Caitlyn Crossman had 4 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals as she continues to see the court so well, and make so many extra effort plays, or rebound against a bigger player.
Every game I can say something about each player because they are such a hardworking group who genuinely want to improve every day and work as a team, not worrying about the spotlight. I am so lucky to coach such a wonderful group of girls, and look forward to the rest of the season! Our next game is a non- league matchup at South Glens Falls Tuesday at 7pm."
Congratulations, Lady Riverhawks! Keep up the great teamwork!

Our JV Boys had a great night on the court Friday! Coach Bowe shared some game highlights:
"The JV Boys Basketball team had a big league win Friday night vs. Hartford. It was a back and forth game from the beginning.
Ashton Wright led the team with 13 points. Aiden Pettit sealed the game with a big 3 pointer with about a minute left.
The boys faced a lot of ups and downs throughout the game but they never gave up and continued to battle. Coach Bowe is real proud of them. They never quit. We would also like to thank all the fans that came out and supported the team. The atmosphere was electric and it gave the boys a little extra boost when they needed it. Our next game is Monday night (1/29) at 5:30 PM vs. Galway."
Great job, Riverhawks! Keep up the great work!
