"The JV girls volleyball had a great night on the court. They beat Hartford 2 sets to 0.
Annabell O’Brien led the team with 5 aces and 8 points. Emma Havens backed that up with 4 aces and 5 points. Kirana Ellis had 1 ace and 3 kills.
The whole team did a great job passing the ball which led to a consistent attack throughout the night. The girls brought great energy which helped them all stay engaged and perform at a high level. These girls have been on a roll lately. They continue to improve each and every night."
Congratulations, Riverhawks!!

"The Adirondack League Golf tournament was held at Skene Valley and the Riverhawk golf team came in 2nd out of a 10 team field.
This was their best finish at the tournament in a long time and they have been getting better every round. The winning score was 126 and the team had 130. It was a very close tournament and the team played great. Each school sends 4 golfers and the top three scores count toward the team total.
Reiley had a 42, Aiden and Parker each had 44 and Cooper had a 46. It just shows how close this team is.
Tomorrow the team hosts North Warren in the semi finals. Good luck Riverhawks!"
Congratulations! We wish you much luck tomorrow, Riverhawks!!

"Despite trailing 2-0 late in the first half, the young Riverhawks learned a valuable lesson in overcoming adversity. They remained calm and poised, and their patience would be rewarded. A corner kick was earned and calmly delivered by Noah Thompson. An awaiting Owen Shanahan would find the back of the net, beating the keeper with a well-placed header.
In the second half, the team would continue their offensive persistence, keeping Hartford on their heels. Tristan Lozier would deliver a shot that ricocheted off a defender, catching the goalkeeper out of position and landing in the back of the net for the equalizer.
The final minutes were tense and with just over two minutes to play, goalkeeper Michael Petteys would make a save and then proceed to launch a cannon of a punt. This would send Lozier streaking beyond Hartford's back line where he would collect the ball and calmly lift a beautiful shot over the head of their keeper for the go ahead goal and a Corinth victory!!
It was a great team win against a solid Hartford side. The team's next game is at home under the lights against Hadley-Luzerne on Saturday, October 4th for the annual CUP GAME!"
Congratulations, Riverhawks! We hope to fill the stands for the big Cup Game Saturday night to wrap up Spirit Week 2025!

This week, our school will focus on the character strength of Open-Mindedness. This means being willing to consider new ideas and try new things. It involves looking at situations from all sides and not jumping to conclusions.
Open-mindedness is about seeking out and fairly weighing evidence, even if it goes against our own opinions or goals. Open-minded people listen to different viewpoints, including those that are less popular. They are often good listeners and provide balanced advice, which makes them great friends and confidants. This strength helps individuals form meaningful and lasting relationships.
To practice and encourage the character strength of open-mindedness at home, please visit The Positivity Project’s mobile-friendly P2 for Families by clicking: https://posproject.org/p2-for-families/
Please ask your students about their social emotional learning lessons, discussions and activities on open-mindedness this week!
