Corinth Middle School was treated to an assembly with the Albany Firewolves. Students learned about leadership, teamwork and communication in addition to the basics of the sport of lacrosse. They loved being able to play during the assembly! Thank you to the Firewolves!!

The event is designed to expose young girls to career and technical education fields that have been traditionally dominated by males, encouraging them to purse their passions and interests.
Kerrigan Millis, Isabelle Cook, Sierra McFarlane and Marie Clothier explored Conservations and Forestry, Auto Body, Welding, and Construction Trades on Friday! Great job, ladies!

The Corinth HS Mock Trial Team competed in round 1 against Saratoga Springs HS in a workplace accident case claiming negligence to their client.
Students did a great job with their very first experience in a courtroom. They gave opening statements to Judge Tim Higgins and directly examined witnesses on the stand. They also crossed examined witnesses on the opposing side and gave closing arguments. Congratulations, Team Corinth!

Our CHS Wrestling team wrapped up their season at the Cool Insuring Arena this weekend! Five wrestlers earned the privilege of competing in the state qualifiers!

We have some exciting news from our Athletic Department!! Coming soon...
We are excited to offer the convenience of online registration through FamilyID!
FamilyID is a secure registration platform that provides families with an easy, user-friendly way to register for our athletic programs and helps us to be more administratively efficient and environmentally responsible.
When you register through FamilyID, the system keeps track of your information in your FamilyID profile. You enter your information only once for each family member for multiple uses and multiple sports programs. The Electronic Registration Process will be Required when officially launched in our distict.
The paper forms for medical clearance will no longer be used once we launch this program. Registrations will be done electronically through Family ID. (Directions will be provided when we officially launch!)
Registration of your student cannot begin before the indicated date because the "Medical History Update" must be within 30 days of the beginning of the athletic practices. (This is a NYSED regulation.)

Coach Fabian's Modified Boys Basketball Team had a fantastic season! Here are highlights from COACH:
"Congrats to the boys modified basketball team on an undefeated season winning 14 games this season. Our last game of the season was against an also undefeated North Warren team.
The game was a battle from the start in which we trailed for the majority of the game. We were down by one with 4 seconds to go and Carter Hoffman-Robarge hit the game winning layup off of an inbounds play to seal the deal. Ashton Wright had another outstanding game, scoring 13 points against the toughest defense we have faced.
Ashton Moors also had another great game scoring 9 points and helping to make key plays when it counted. We are all very proud of the hard work everyone put in this season.
Our team consisted of Ashton Wright, Carter Hoffman-Robarge, Camdyn Moors, Brennon Thompson, Reiley Halliday, Kasey Gebo, Nick Sarnelli, Haydon Heil and Ashton Moors. Congrats on a great year!"

Our Modified Boys are wrapping up their season this week! Here are a few highlights from tonight's game from Coach Fabian:
"Congrats to the boys modified basketball team on another 20 point win over Lake George. Ashton Wright had another great game scoring 14 points to lead the team. Camdyn Moors had a great night on the court scoring 11 points along with playing great defense and getting some strong rebounds.
We hope to keep our undefeated streak going as we head to North Warren for our last game of the year on Tuesday."

Our 1st grade students love "Flashlight Fluency Fridays," a strategy that helps build reading skills, including fluency. Our CES readers are very engaged in this unique classroom practice, loving the use of the flashlights for one of their reading activities.
We had a great turnout for tonight's HS girls soccer skills training!
Coach K invites all interested girls (grades 7-12) to come to the middle school gym each Monday evening from 6-7 PM to work on improving your game!!
We hope to see more players next Monday!
Our Modified Girls BB team wrapped up the 2022-23 season this evening! Here are some highlights from Coach Woodcock from tonight's game:
"Congratulations to the girls modified basketball team on ending their season with a HUGE win 38-29 against Lake George at our home court. Our girls’ only loss of the season was their away game against Lake George making the final season record 13-1.
This team of girls had the opportunity to face them again and they gave it their absolute all tonight, hustling up and down the court all four quarters. They played solid defense and put a lot of pressure on their opponents which led to them collectively getting several steals, blocks and forced turnovers.
Offensively we did a great job as well, Makenna Eastman led the team with 14 points. Megan Smolinski had 6 points and Erika McGuire had 5 points. Coach Flint and Coach Woodcock are extremely proud of these girls and the hard work they showed this season, especially tonight.
We are so happy to end the season with a win and also so proud to be 13-1. This team is a great group of girls and we truly enjoyed this season. Awesome work girls! Go Tomahawks!"

Post-season winter athletic competition is underway THIS WEEK for several CHS Varsity Teams!
Our Varsity Girls basketball team hosts Salem in the semi-final game for the Adirondack league title this Tuesday at 6:45 in the CHS gym!
Our Adirondack United Girls Varsity Ice Hockey team will play in a semi-final sectional game this Tuesday at the Glens Falls Rec Center at 6:00.
Our Varsity Wrestling team sends 6 wrestlers to the Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls for Section 2 state qualifiers this Saturday. This is an all day event.
We wish our student athletes and coaches much success in the post season and hope to see a lot of orange and black out in support of our CHS varsity athletes!
