Dear CCSD Families,

This week, our school community will focus on the character strength of Humility. Humility means not seeking attention and letting your actions speak for themselves. Humble people understand their abilities and achievements without underestimating them. They can admit mistakes, accept advice, and are open to new ideas. They don't show off their successes or possessions.

Developing humility helps people reflect on how they can improve and work well with others. It allows them to grow and become valuable team members.

To practice and encourage the character strength of humility at home, please visit The Positivity Project’s mobile-friendly P2 for Families: https://posproject.org/p2-for-families/1-2/love/

Thank you for your support of our CCES social emotional learning curriculum. Have a wonderful week!

Our JV Boys Basketball team finished their season during our winter break. Coach Bowe shared a final wrap up post with highlights from the last game:
"The boys JV basketball team finished their season with a thrilling 41-37 win vs. Fort Ann! Haydon Heil led the team with 13 points. Owen Shanahan followed that up with 8. Everyone on the team contributed on the scoreboard.
The team played great defense all game. The boys played with a lot of grit and resilience.
It has been a great season. This is a young team that has learned so much throughout the season. It has been a pleasure coaching them. It is great to see how much they have grown as individuals on and off the court. I hope they can continue to work in the offseason so they can all have a successful basketball career."

Congratulations, Riverhawks! We are proud of you! The future of CHS basketball is bright! #RiverhawkPride

Our Varsity Girls BB team earned the title: Adirondack League Champions this weekend! Coach Suppes shared game highlights:

"The Girls Varsity Basketball team won the Adirondack League Championship Saturday! They beat a tough and young Lake George team 43-32.
Whitney Cameron and Bella Craig led the Riverhawks with 16 points each, and Whitney hit big free throws in the end to ice the game.
Caitlyn Crossman hit some big shots and scored 9 points in her final League Championship game as the team's only senior.
Sage Shanahan brought her normal aggressiveness and energy under the hoop on both ends of the court, and made an amazing play on a missed free throw in the final minutes, to grab the rebound and help secure the victory.
It was an exciting atmosphere, and the girls responded well to the big stage. Congrats to the girls, and we look forward to what's next for our sectional matchup! Thank you for all the support!"

Congratulations to our Riverhawks! Check out Facebook and the Post Star for more photos of the big game! Stay tuned for the date/time of the next post season match up!

Our Riverhawk wrestlers had much success at the Section II tournament yesterday! Coach Bardin shared highlights from an exciting day on the mats:
"Congratulations Varsity Wrestlers! Yesterday, we had five of our Riverhawks land on the podium at the Section II Championships at Guilderland High School. We’re equally proud to share that two of our wrestlers have advanced to the NYS Championships in two weeks at the MVP Arena!
Riley Bernash is our Section II champion in the 116 weight class! Lenny Rosa battled throughout the day, even wrestling after the podium call for true second place. These two young men will represent Corinth in the State tournament.
Aiden Schurr continues to hone his skills and moves, wrestling well and earning 3rd today. Keegan Baker left it all on the mat, gaining wins throughout the day and earning 4th.
Senior Michael Rose capped off his high school career on a high note, winning some impressive matches and earning 5th!
We’re incredibly proud of each athlete's accomplishments, proving that hard work leads to success. But the journey isn't over yet—back to work we go!"

Congratulations, Riverhawk wrestlers and coaches! Good luck at the state tournament!!! #RiverhawkPride Photos courtesy of the wrestling Facebook page!
